Moon water is a great resource for scrying divination. It’s simple to use it for this sacred ritual.

To use moon water during scrying divination you’ll need:

  • A dark bowl
  • Moon water to fill the bowl (enough to fill a large mason jar or pitcher)
  • A journal and pen
  • A flat area or table

Why Is Moon Water Better For Scrying Divination?

Humans, and our behaviors, are connected to the moon. We also have a deep connection with water. The U.S. Geological Survey says adult humans are made up of 60% water.

Using moon water in divination allows us to use our human make-up of water to open portals where we can see visions of what’s to come.

Full Moon Scrying Steps

While scrying is a simple process, there are a few things you are going to need to do to open your 3rd eye and properly receive the divinations.

Here’s a simple list of how to do full moon scrying for divination:

  2. Sit near your workspace, close your eyes, and connect to the energy surrounding you.
  3. Place your arms to your sides, palms up. Allow the moon’s energy to enter through your hands.
  4. Once you feel full of the moon’s energy, open your eyes.
  5. Start divination by taking the pitcher of moon water, and slowly pour it into the bowl.
  6. Look into the bowl for the reflection of the moon. Pay close attention to any patterns, symbols, or images in the water.
  7. Write down everything you see and any thoughts that arise as you look into the water.
  8. You’re done scrying when you start to feel tired or distracted. This process may take minutes or even an hour, so give yourself plenty of time to focus.

What To Do With The Water After Scrying

Once you are done with the moon water for scrying, you can use it again for other rituals.

This moon water is now charged with the visions you saw, so you can use it for moon water tea. Drinking the tea will increase the connection you experienced during divination.

You can also use the moon water in a spiritual bath or pour it into your herb garden.
